Cook Children's Home Health helps children and their families manage complex drug therapies for many diseases and conditions. Our pharmacists are trained and experienced in the use and management of various intravenous therapies including biotech pharmaceuticals. We also provide educational tools to our patients to enhance the quality of our services and provide a positive patient experience.
With next-day delivery and temperature controlled shipping containers, we are able to ship or deliver sensitive pharmaceuticals directly to our patient's homes or healthcare provider's office.
Pharmacy services for your family
- Introductory call with the start of care and each change in therapy.
- Consultation and education with patients or caregivers regarding medications and supplies.
- Extensive collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers involved in your child's care.
- Physicians --- Collaborate with Pharmacists on various aspects of patient care including lab results and monitoring.
- Nurses --- Coordinate infusion schedules and lab draws with patients or caregivers.
- DME Team --- Deliver medications, supplies and needed equipment.
- Orthotics and Prosthetics Team --- Provides medical equipment and devices used to support, improve or replace parts of the body.
- Rehabilitation Therapy Team --- Assists in strengthening and regaining skills lost during extended illness or as a result of trauma.
- Respiratory Therapy Team --- Provides assistance in care and treatment of lung conditions.
- Our Specialty Billing Team can assist throughout the duration of care to ensure understanding of the billing process and can answer any billing related questions.
- Our on-site infusion suite provides the added convenience of your child being treated in an alternative environment away from the home.
- Antibiotic therapy - Medicines used to resolve infections.
- Hydration therapy - IV Fluid used to increase the amount of fluids in the body. Common causes include dehydration and extended illness with inadequate fluid intake.
- Chemotherapy - Medicines used to treat cancers or other conditions. Childhood conditions can include, but are not limited to, Leukemia, Lymphoma, Neuroblastoma, etc.
- Total parenteral nutrition - Medicine used to provide nourishment from an IV. Patient specific combinations of proteins, carbohydrates, fats and electrolytes to provide adequate nutrition.
- IV catheter care - Medicines and supplies used to keep a catheter clean and open.
- Low molecular weight heparins - Medicine to prevent or treat blood clots or clotting disorders.
- Lab monitoring - Services include lab collection by a Cook Children's Home Health nurse at location of your choice, obtaining results and reporting to your doctor.
- IVIG and SQIG Immunoglobulin - Medicine providing antibodies to the body to help prevent illness.
- Enzyme Replacement Therapy - Medicine used to replace or supplement enzymes due to deficiency. Learn more.
- Blood Component Stimulating Factors - Medicine used to help the body make red and white blood cells.
- Monoclonal Antibody Therapy - Medicine used to stimulate the immune system by targeting specific cells.
- Recombinant Factor Therapy - Medicine used to replace clotting factors.
- Growth Hormone Therapy - Medicine used to replace growth hormones.
- Vaccination Therapy - Medicine used to prevent illness.

If you or your office would like to meet with a representative, please contact your local physician liaison.
Referrals may be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. After hours, an answering service will connect referring physicians or clinicians to the on-call nurse
