With a vast variety of brands and models, Cook Children's Home Health carries the equipment needed to best serve our patient families. We conduct preventive maintenance between each patient use to ensure efficiency and improved performance. We work to supply our respiratory patients with all their equipment and supplies. Our equipment we stock includes, but is not limited to:
Ventilator machines move air in and out of the lungs for children who need help breathing. It is often connected to a tracheostomy tube in a child's neck. Ventilators are crucial and often life sustaining devices, which may have to be in use up to 24 hours a day.

Oxygen concentrator systems include equipment such as oxygen concentrators (for continuous delivery of oxygen), oxygen tanks (for portability) and regulators (to control the flow of oxygen).

- Low flow concentrator (down to 0.1lpm)
Air from machines (ventilator, CPAP, BiLevel, compressor) is cold and dry. Therefore, we use heated humidity devices to add warmth and moisture to the air, so your child's airway does not become too dry.

Pulse oximeters measure heart rate and the amount of oxygen in the blood.

CPAP's blow air continuously through tubing to a mask secured over your child's nose. The air pressure helps keep your child's air passages open to help him/her breathe easier. It is most often used while sleeping, but can be used continuously.
BiPAPs blow air through tubing to a mask secured over your child's nose. The machine is set to deliver a higher pressure when your child is inhaling and a lower pressure when your child is exhaling.

Referrals may be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. After hours, an answering service will connect referring physicians or clinicians to the on-call nurse
